Digital Production Buzz
I spent some time this week chatting to Larry Jordan on ‘The Digital Production Buzz’ podcast introducing MatrixStore (and the integration with Final Cut Server) to his listeners.
Speaking off-air with both Larry and Cirina they confirmed our belief that there is an ever growing number of ‘smaller’ creative shops which are becoming multiple terabyte businesses. As their data grows they throw more and more external drives at the problem ad infinitum causing occasional data loss and increasing amounts of time in storage administration and less time on the things they should be doing to generate revenue. We plan to introduce a MatrixStore solution based on an appropriately priced platform to address these companies in the near future.
Until then, as I said in the interview it is possible to run MatrixStore on the Mac Mini platform which will give you an idea of just how easy it is to protect valuable assets with minimal management overhead. The following is a very silly video showing just how to set it up:
I would like to thank Larry and the team for giving us the opportunity to spread the MatrixStore word.
