MatrixStore InterConnect. Affordable Archiving for Avid Interplay

In a few weeks we will release InterConnect, an application that allows AVID media content to be moved to and from a MatrixStore cluster with the minimum of effort and without the need for the AVID Archive engine. Working closely with AVID in the UK we have been able to utilise the AVID APIs (AMT and Web Services) to create a simple archive and restore workflow that users can manage from within the AVID eco-system. Full technical specs and the roadmap for InterConnect will be available upon release of the product, until then please find below press release going out today:

The View From Object Matrix

As mentioned before, no technology is an island. This is particularly true since workflows are becoming more file-based. Integrating with Interplay opens up a global customer base that requires a lower cost, functionally rich and live archive tier to keep their assets available 24/7.
