Cap’Ciné to put MatrixStore at heart of new Customer Technology Experience Centre
Cardiff (UK), 28 November 2012 – Object Matrix, leader in the market of integrated nearline storage solutions, today announces the appointment of Cap’Ciné, one of Europe’s leading integrators of broadcast and post production solutions.
This appointment again emphasizes Object Matrix’s strategy to work with the very best resellers and integrators. The prevalence of file-based workflows is driving media organisations in France to find resilient and integrated nearline solutions that complement their existing infrastructures. The appointment of Cap’Ciné enables Object Matrix to better engage with those organisations.
Cap’Ciné will integrate MatrixStore into its brand new solutions centre being built in the heart of Paris. The centre will allow customers to experience complex file based broadcast and production workflows using the best of breed solutions, reflecting their specific needs and workflows.
David Fontaine, General Manager of Cap’Ciné stated: “We are continuously looking at ways to improve our customers’ experience and help them adapt to fast changing methods for producing content. With Object Matrix and IVORY representing them in France, we were lucky to find people and technology that uniquely match our DNA. We are excited now to add value and security to the Avid solutions we deploy and manage every day, and to strengthen our advisor’s role to benefit our customers. ”
MatrixStore is a highly resilient, disk-based nearline archive platform designed to protect digital assets in AVID, Adobe and Apple workflows. MatrixStore fits into various environments protecting your digital assets and metadata with the minimum effort. InterConnect is a cost-effective plugin for AVID Interplay, useful to move assets from the online storage platform to MatrixStore by simply dragging and dropping assets within the Interplay application.
Nick Pearce, co-founder of Object Matrix said, “When we wanted to enter the French market, Avid France introduced us to Cap’Ciné and David in particular as being a route to success. Since our first meeting in Hôtel Matignon 4 years ago I have been keen to pursue a partnership with David and his staff. Today I am proud to announce that, with the help of the IVORY team, we have formed a partnership that will be long and successful. Allez les Rouges!.”
MatrixStore and all Object Matrix products are available through an extended list of resellers in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Holland, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK.

The View from OM
Working with Cap’Ciné has, in part, made possible through introductions made during a program of events hosted by IBW at the Matignon (Paris) in 2009. At those events, organised by John Rees, the likes of JoJo Maman Bebe, Ifor Williams Trailors, Penderyn Whisky and Object Matrix were given the opportunity to meet French business contacts in the most auspicious of surroundings. Like a good whisky the contacts made during those events took some time to mature and now we are reaping the rewards. We at Object Matrix would like to thank John and the IBW team for their efforts at the time and also extend that thanks to Madame Penelope Fillon for her support during that period.
